Lightbulb Test builds WITHOUT implementing 1 vs. 1 PvP.

Well, I see a lot of people that want to test out thier new build in 1 on 1 pvp or something like that, and I never liked the idea. Yes, I would like to test my builds out and get a feel for them, but I don't think I'd like the ego boost that 1 on 1 PvP would give some people. So I figure maybe they could come up with a way to test your build against a shadow race...kind of like fighting your doppleganger, only you'll get a menu where you can choose the race you want to practice against. (After all, if you're looking to test your shut-down mesmer, there's no real reason to fight a shadow warrior, ect.) I'm sure some people are already saying, "Dumb idea, the AI will just get pwned too easily." I think there should be an advanced option where you can assign the skill points and skills of the mob, so that you can see if the build is successful at preforming the task it was created to do. Monks and other support characters are going to need a system to make sure their builds are working properly as well. Perhaps giving the option to spawn a henchman to fight with you so that a support build would be given that chance to test their build against a specifically desined counter-part. Finally, for those ready to flame me because "It's a waste of time!" or "It will cost too much for ANET!" this is only a suggestion that I feel would be helpful. I figure it can't be too difficult to program...I'm not speaking from any REAL programming experience here, but since the doppleganger fight is already coded in the game, this option would be a very similar situation. Correct me if I'm wrong or whether or not the similarity is relevant. Also, I apologize in advanced if this is a beaten horse buried in this forum somewhere.

Happy Flame-throwing,
Luna Thirteen

flame throwing?
no way. this is a good idea. if possible a standard skillset for enemy ghost team, and the option to give them specific skills. would be interesting if you could try to test against AI which plays popular builds.

grtz Makk.
